Federation Day is celebrated on April 24, marking the founding of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) in 1890. On this day, 63 clubs officially formed the GFWC in New York City under the leadership of Jane Cunningham Croly. To celebrate, members are encouraged to reflect on the organization's history and contributions to community improvement through volunteer service.
