The General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) is united in its dedication to volunteer community service. In 2026, the GFWC International Day of Service (GFWC IDS) will occur on Saturday, September 26, to help end domestic and sexual violence across the United States and internationally.

According to the World Health Organization, it is estimated that between 736 million to 862 million women, aged 15 years or older, have experienced domestic and/or sexual violence. Within the United States, based on research conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 16 million people are affected every year.
