GFWC-WI is the proud owner of a collection of Wisconsin authors and illustrators housed at Lane Library at Ripon College and called Wisconsin's Own Library.

The library has a marvelous long history. Over the past several years, GFWC-WI has set guidelines for the items that will be included in the collection and oversight of its condition. We are very fortunate to be named as an authorized recipient in the Gwendolyn M. Schultz Charitable Trust. These funds help us improve and increase the collection and promote its existence throughout the state as well as promote programs among Wisconsin writers, poets, and illustrators. In addition to upgrading the collection, Wisconsin's Own Library, with funds from the Gwendolyn M. Schultz Charitable Trust, is proudly funding a poet-in-residence program at Ripon College.

GFWC members throughout the state are invited to an open house at the library on November 12. Please join us to hear poetry readings of original work by Freesia McKee, the poet-in-residence, and Dr. Megan Gannon, Associate Professor of English at Ripon College.

This promises to be a truly inspiring opportunity.

Attached is the announcement flyer. There is no cost to attend. In fact, there will be a $10.00 per member attending allowance back to the your club! Please share this with all club members. It would be terrific to see a great membership representation at the open house. What a lovely way to spend a fall Saturday at a beautiful campus. See you there!
