Fundraising Ideas 

Some of Oconomowoc Junior Woman’s Club fundraisers to fund over 80 ped bags for Waukesha County ambulances may work for your club.  See the EMSC Special Projects section at www.gfwc-wi.org/ in a few weeks for most of the fundraising ideas / steps that may save your club time and energy (just modify to fit your need). 

 ·        Potluck dinner.  Invite friends and family to a nice location, everyone bringing a dish and $35.  Have an EMS speaker and discuss need for EMSC ped bags.

·        Mail a donation letter to Chamber businesses.   

·        Contact local businesses to sponsor or co-sponsor a ped bag (Raised over $5,000).

 ·        Speak at a Rotary or other community service group meeting about the need and request they donate a ped bag. (Raised $730)

 ·        Speak at, and ask your PTA / PTO to sponsor a ped bag.  (Raised $1,460)

 ·        Help your school set up a coin drive for ped bags.  Two winning classes received an ice cream sundae party served by local EMS!  (Raised over $3,000).

 ·        Apply for a grant.  (Raised over $21,000).

 ·        Add an auction “item”.  At the end of one auction we spoke for two minutes and “auctioned” off supplies to fill a ped bag.   (Raised $880)

·        Set up a wine tasting event.  (Franklin Juniors have raised over $9,000 with two events)
