Helen Mears Art Program: Chairman - Shirley Mattox
This contest is unique to GFWC-WI and has been in existence
since 1927 to honor this exceptional woman artist. The annual
art competition is to encourage and recognize artistic
development and achievement among the state’s 7th and
8th grade students.
Member Arts & Crafts Contests: Chairman - Sue LaBuda
These contests
are open to any dues paying club member of the GFWC-WI who is an
amateur (making less than $500.00 annually on crafts) and makes
items for a hobby.
Member Photography Contests: Chairmen - Sue LaBuda
These contests
are open to any dues paying club member of the GFWC-WI who is an
amateur (making less than $500.00 annually on photography) and
takes photographs for a hobby. State winners of "The World in
Pictures" and "GFWC Volunteers in Action" Photography Contests
will be sent on for national judging annually. "A Year in
Pictures" (Calendar Contest) is only a national contest and is
sent directly to GFWC Headquarters by May 1, 2009 and 2010.
