Flag Pole Dedication Seventeen members of the Woman’s Club of West Allis took part in the May 24, 2008 ceremony in honor of the 10th Anniversary of the Log Cabin Schoolhouse at the West Allis Historical Society. The ceremony included the dedication of a new flagpole and 30 star flag, donated by the Woman’s Club of West Allis. Club President, Alyce Weiss, presented the flag and flagpole in memory of club member Lila Bickford. Lila Bickford was a former schoolteacher in West Allis. The Woman’s Club of West Allis has been a beneficiary of her estate in the past and found it fitting that this should be dedicated in memory of her. A plaque on the flagpole states this.
